The 'restart required' is from a static list, it wasn't updated correctly when the KB was installed.

It will be interesting to see if this is isolated to this KB only or if the status of any KB requiring a restart is incorrectly "reported".

Installed updates is the real deal.

How do you check installed updates?
Why of course, you select Uninstall updates ... - that makes sense! I'm being facetious here
They had to pick some title and the dialog presented has two functions.
... I fed MS a suggestion to change the link/option text to "View or uninstall Windows Updates"

Who guys. I am not, in the context of this thread, over interested in you definitions of Telemetry. I was more interested in the update problem. My post number #5 was sent with cynicism.

For me, in a nutshell, telemetry is the sending of data from one piece of equipment to another, without the use of wire. ie, Wireless.
As I understand it, in the Microsoft context, it is with the use of Apps. It has to be agreed to by the user. I could not comment on the use of the word telemetry. When we agreed to the use of the insider program, we gave MS the right to look at our computer use, if needed and check what we are downloading and using..etc. Again, no connection with Telemetry. Simply connection through internet use.
