No issues here running the upgrade.

Decided to just do a clean install after the upgrade completed and everything is smooth as silk, aside from the recycle bin taking a while to open every now and then.

Edit: Guess I spoke too soon. Start menu, jump lists and Action Center still go blank after heavy graphics usage (gaming etc) on an SLI system.

@simrick, I tested this - did clean install of 14926, removed all apps (including store) and did an in-place upgrade. None of the apps are reinstalled. This means repair install is no longer a simple fix for the situation where someone deletes the store.

What it does do however is restore all the appx packages to WindowsApps - the only change from previous builds is it doesn't register them. This means if like me you removed apps with both Remove-AppxPackage and Remove-AppxProvisionedPackage (so they are deleted from WindowsApps) you can simply register the store again with
    Code:
    Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsStore_11606.1001.39.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\AppxManifest.xml"
It doesn't exactly preserve the state of your apps but at least you don't have to clean install if you delete the store :)
So that means people need to do a reset or a clean Install if the apps are broken?Bad. I hope MS fixes that

I have most serious problems ever since first install/update at the beginning. My taskbar stays almost blank (only Start button works right) but fixes itself after 10 minutes.
Now I'm about to decide if I should switch back to 14915 and try again from ISO. Have MR backup of it too. If all fails I'm way overdue for a clean install.
One question, is there a switch for sfc /scannow to just check and not attempt repairs ?

    Hi,
My best guess is SFC /verifyonly resembeles dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth

Just tried and it also stopped at 20% while dism didn't find any problems but finished in few seconds. So much for my theory.

My apologies for a long post. Just ignore it, the post is mostly a positive rant from a Windows 10 fanboy and totally unimportant :)-

I only use Hyper-V virtual machines to get Insider upgrades, then make ISO images and customize a deployment image again in Hyper-V, finally deploying that image to my physical machines. None of my physical machines is in Insider program although all of them are using Insider builds.

I had some bad luck yesterday, totally fried a laptop and an external disk connected to it. This caused a delay for me to get Insider builds because all my Insider virtual machines were stored on that external disk. Of course I have exported (backup) them to another disk but on an almost virgin state, just after installation and activation, before joining Insider program and Fast Ring.

Had to start from scratch yesterday evening by importing these backup virtual machines to another Hyper-V server, was prepared to wait a few days before newly restored virtual machines would start getting Insider upgrades, but to my great surprise first vm (14915 Education) got the upgrade today, only 12 hours after opting in.

That being said, here's a quote about what I posted in 14915 thread:

    Kari said:
First time ever, since October 1st 2014 and first Windows 10 Technical Preview I had to restore earlier build and can't use the latest.

Of all builds I have only skipped two which I did not even download and install because release notes already told I couldn't use them due lacking language packs (a must for me). However, this is the first time I installed a new build but then after only a day had to restore to previous build, this time my issue was not mentioned in release notes.

The reason: My WiFi simply died after upgrading to 14915. No legacy or new drivers from manufacturer's site worked, all possible driver's giving this:
    WLAN NIC is from Ralink.

I need Miracast wireless display, which of course does not work if WLAN NIC does not work. A deal breaker for me.

I am a happy camper now, a fast test (clean install 14926 on a vm, use the VHD in native boot to check it on real physical hardware) revealed that WiFi and Miracast are now working on all my devices regardless of which WLAN NIC and GPU they have :)

I think Microsoft is doing remarkable job with these upgrade builds. My issue with Miracast and WiFi with 14915 was not Microsoft's fault, I can fully understand they cannot test functionality of all thousands and thousands of third party devices and peripherals. Yet they manage to make most of them to work. A fast test now showed that using the latest drivers from Ralink, manufacturer of one WLAN NIC in my machines is not compatible with 14915 / 14926 but removing it and accepting the driver Windows Update offers works now perfectly in 14926.

Bad luck with that laptop, real bummer, don't like them at all. Too expensive for a computer and virtually irreparable and no customization to speak of..
I have first bad problems with this build so will have to take measures to fix them that my include clean install. Rain tomorrow so I will have some free time.
About that delay of populating taskbar, just found out that it makes a connection sound when it starts working right. Sound like a new device was inserted but of course nothing was. In conjunction with slow sign in at the start methinks it has something to do with that new feature for WiFi connections although I'm not using one or have it connected.

Just one more, boring "bugfix only" build, to skip.
Hope they will start to implement some new features sooner or later, especially adjustable "system-fonts" for the "Metro" part.
Btw: whats so fancy, to use 2-3 mm high fonts in apps or tiles? (11.6" screen fullHD, 175% scale)
But I've almost gave up on that, as well as for the missing integration of a system-wide dark theme (not the crappy high-contrast ones) for bad eyes.
Ah...and a simple to access slider for brightness setting, not the clumsy 4 step button.
