Looks like a new version came down the update pipe yesterday, sorry I didn't note down the version number

it was certainly a strange installation - I checked for updates and it did its normal thing. I then jumped into my wife's user acc to verify all was working on office after the update. On re entering my own acc I went back to office and under 'about' it still said updates waiting to be installed. I clicked check for updates and it quickly installed but I noticed it had knocked me back to version .2055! So I checked again and it found updates again and reinstalled. After this I was back to the latest version and the above issue didn't repeat itself. I even restarted the PC to double check but it was fine after this saying I was up to date. So some strange anomalies that seemed to straighten themselves out!

And our other PC did the same thing. It also straightened itself out but one wonders whether thorough QA testing is a thing of the past with MS these days!
