Mine has been hung on 95% for the last 40 minutes. Not happy with this new style of MS Updates
I have the exact same issue on multiple machines. Rebooting didn't help.

This OS is nothing but garbage. They can't even distribute an update and have it install properly anymore. What a joke.

Download Problems with Cumulative Update Version 1607 (KB3189866) x64 - Windows 10 Forums

dunno why but during playing a game i was noticing alot of FPS drops and stuttering. so after 20-30 minutes of it continuing i decided to alt tab so that it could finish the dam update but when i checked back it was stuck at 45%. and now ive seen no progress past that point for 10-40 minutes now!

can anyone assist in this matter ?

    KB3189866 download halts at 48%

I have a laptop and desktop both running Win10 AU x64. On both of them, when I use Settings / Update & Security / Windows Update to attempt to download the latest Win10 update to version 1607 build 14393.187, the download runs at normal full speed until 48% downloaded and then just stops. Nothing wrong with the Internet connection on either machine as it was still working fine. Restarting either machine and trying the download again produced the same result. In the end I downloaded the standalone MSU update file for my version of Windows from http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/...px?q=kb3189866 and ran it on both machines.

I think it's the smoothest install ever. It barely took a minute after restart and boom! Ready.

Likely MS update server overload, unable to cope with huge access/download.

IF you get stuck at 95% manually install the update. Worked for me.

well bummer. it killed my desktop. re-imaging computer now. on reboot, it said there is no boot record or how ever it's worded. ran the repair disk, command prompt, fixmbr, success, fixboot, no section ? my travel laptop was auto downloading the update, and stuck at 49%.
I had just finally gotten the blu-ray program working properly this weekend. will have to start over.

Installed in about 10mins. No issues, no integrity issues, login picture is now working. Don't forget to update your Office suite too.
