Got fed up with this update. After Cumulative Update KB3189866 failed to complete for the fourth time and two attempts at a manual install I blocked it.
8 times failing and now KB3193494 is failing as well ... blocking both for now. The only recourse I've ever found that has worked consistently is to format and start completely over.

So far, every single update from Microsoft has failed on my machines. Talked to my friend who works on the Visual Studio Team up there and he tells me yesterday that MS fired the entire QA Team some time ago. First question from me was "Can they hire them back?"

This Windows 10 debacle has me more than seriously considering Linux as my personal choice and for my clients! I'm quite FED UP with the lack of acknowledgment or responsibility from MS as well. In a total of nine instances, their updates have left my machine unable to even boot into safe mode and recovery failed miserably.

To me the entire update disappeared when it told me it failed. Then my Local System Service Host has been running constantly at 8% for the next 4 hours while I'm getting 8 kbps spikes once every 4 second. I'm guessing it's downloading? but I don't see it in Windows Update. I can only see that an update to Windows Defender is on queue. Should I just wait this one out or what? I really don't want to push something manually if I don't have to.
Quoting myself. After letting the system sit on idle, a day later the update successfully went through automatically.

CCleaner does not ever interfere with a Windows 10 update. I've had it on my 3 computers for years. Now that Tuneup program you had is nothing but trouble, nobody should install any programs like Tuneup, as they can cause more trouble than their worth.

Like Mike Says I have had ccleaner for years I run it every 2 weeks never had a problem related to it .

In my opinion, and taking in count MY own experience: no. Bt that's based on my experience. I stopped to have heavy OS problems -specially when it comes to big updates and stuff like that- when I got rid of that type of software. I stopped using it almost a year ago and, since then, Windows 10 has been pretty much flawless. I just let him to manage himself when talking about tem files and stuff like that. Occasionally, I run some defrag or skandisk manually, and I always run the "sfc /scannow" command after every update.

    Until now, no problems.
I agree with your comments. They pretty much mirror my own thoughts. Programs like CC cleaner and Tune Up might have been usefull with older versions of Windows, but I find Windows 10 will pretty well manage itself now, with the exception of failing updates... grrr. If you are one of those people who install heaps of programs to "see what they will do" there is a potential for problems and I could see a need for CC Cleaner then. Windows 10 handles file storage very well and Defragging is not necessary, neither is cleaning and compacting the registry. I am never going to use, or miss, the milliseconds I might gain by doing these things, but I have better things to do with the half hour it takes to do them.

No bug here on 2 HP machines, Made a clean install on the Desktop (14393.0) and an upgrade on the laptop. After the upgrade we lost Ccleaner and Do_Not_Spy_10. 1.1 (no issues reinstalling them). Winver shows 14393.187 on both.
