I've just run scanhealth - ok. (14393.187). But I've seen one other new thread like this.
I just got done doing the repair install, like I always have before, and it uninstalled Hyper-V(thank god all my VMs are on a 2nd internal SSD),
it also nuked all the shortcuts I created for my batch files on my desktop,
and it killed my VM shortcuts I created for the Start menu and all apps menu and uninstalled Hyper-V.
AND!! it screwed up the Ethernet driver.
    (never did this stuff before)
    What a total mess.
It's suppose to fix stuff, and not screw the system up any more than it is.

So then, I ran my batch file and it still got the error.
So I said screw it, and reimaged back to the image I just made yesterday. I don't lose any data, as all my libraries are on the same SSD, as the VMs.

I just need to change my wallpaper back.

According to the folks at Portable Update software, the program will only run on Windows 10 build 10586, which will not do me any good.
They are lying. It works fine on latest builds.

    Berton said:
Actually it's only been tested with 10586, probably will work on later builds.

Reading about it on their site suggests it is not for the usual consumers/users but more for IT departments.
Dude it works on all versions.

Got fed up with this update. After Cumulative Update KB3189866 failed to complete for the fourth time and two attempts at a manual install I blocked it.

System tried twice to install Cumulative Update KB3193494. Failed after 100%. Rolled back changes, just like with Cumulative Update KB3189866. Any Ideas anyone? I have tried the various fixes found on the internet for both these updates, but something seems amiss.

For those who still are not able to install it: are you using on a regular basis software as CCleaner or Tune Up?

Thanks for responding. No, I don't use CCleaner or Tune Up. Why? Should I?

In my opinion, and taking in count MY own experience: no. Bt that's based on my experience. I stopped to have heavy OS problems -specially when it comes to big updates and stuff like that- when I got rid of that type of software. I stopped using it almost a year ago and, since then, Windows 10 has been pretty much flawless. I just let him to manage himself when talking about tem files and stuff like that. Occasionally, I run some defrag or skandisk manually, and I always run the "sfc /scannow" command after every update.

    Until now, no problems.

CCleaner does not ever interfere with a Windows 10 update. I've had it on my 3 computers for years. Now that Tuneup program you had is nothing but trouble, nobody should install any programs like Tuneup, as they can cause more trouble than their worth.
