Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve begun development
on experimental WebVR
support in Microsoft Edge! WebVR is the next frontier in web graphics, enabling developers to create a wide range
of truly immersive experiences for a variety of devices.
Innovative and immersive WebVR content
is already showing up on the web, and we expect to see even more coming as developers turn WebGL experiences into WebVR experiences.

We’ve been working on advancing the W3C WebVR specification
— along with
Mozilla, Google, Oculus and others — to ensure that web developers have a faster, more powerful, and interoperable tool.
We look forward to sharing more software and hardware details soon as our implementation progresses. As always, we welcome your feedback as we work to land this new functionality, and we’re very much looking forward this next evolution of the web!
