I can see the Network now but can't access the shares states the share isn't accessible and goes on I might not have permissions to use networked resource...and can't connect to networked printer either. I enabled manually NetBIOS over tcp/ip as well. No joy.
I now don't think that our problems are the same. My problem is discovery by NetBIOS, not access. All my shares are accessible it's just that the Linux SMB shares are not listed/discovered.

I'm not doubting you about all of this .

I wanted to confirm the need for the reg hack I posted that may work . That's why I asked about your 14905 Insider delivery branch setting that wont show on your WU ,update status page screenshot but I took you at your word when you *actually confirmed it just now and that would have been sufficient w/o a screenshot but thanks for putting it up . .:)

Me too on fast ring since maybe real late Q4 /14 or thereabouts or definitely within windows 10 itself whenever they started that WU branch setting and flighting new builds in WU instead of file or MCT downloads .......except twice when something went haywire without my intervention like now being moved and stuck to slow ring on 14905 which is a known 14905 issue for many of us but with no out of hand hot fix for it yet beyond maybe what I posted in post # 69 for a temporary work around outside of *maybe rolling back to a prior build .

That workaround I posted worked in April 2016 just like all this for a lotta users on MS insiders forums and may work on 14905 or not.

I just checked windows update (*nothing ) and had to re set my reg hack work around after I closed it per my instructions .its all really simple though and we had it working like all that in April .

OTOH if someone would post a screenshot Image of the 14915 windows registry directory tree path :
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WindowsSelfHost\Aplicability

I'm specifically curious about the BranchName REG_SZ WORD and any other changes in 14915 from what I posted from 04/16 in post 69 and what I have in 14905 * and especially from folks on the Insider fast ring delivery branch in 14905 .

Sent from 14905 my 14915 update is lost somewhere or locked out and hasn't come in to my $WINDIWS.~BT folder or WU
Updated this morning and Applicability screen shot looks same as BugMeister's.

NP, you could try switching to slow ring(it may not change the settings), reboot then switch back to fast ring, that's what I did to get the update.

Tried all that as soon as you close WU > Insider delivery branch it goes to (incorect ) slow ring default so any time you are cold booting - re- starting its going to be slow ring here ring anyway but I may give it another shot like that ,this thing in my specs shuts down and boots wicked fast with the SSD these random 14905 builds that have the known insider delivery branch stuck on slow issue issue wont hold a fast ring setting . .

Just to be safe and make sure I was on the Fast ring I restored the more stable build 14901 but still had to wait about 6 hours before the new build showed up and once it did 14915 installed without a hitch.

ISO & Bootable USB drive also was created and tomorrow I will finish updating all programs, do a disk cleanup then backup the build using 2 different backup programs or I may decide to do a Clean Install instead.

This morning I can access network shares except Linux SMB Shares. Weren't discovered, reboot, discovered SMB Shares but can't access them.
This is happening with my other Insider beta machine as well. Two 14915 pc's, same problem.

    edit:
14915 doesn't display wireless laptops either. Can ping them however doesn't display. Can ping SMB shares but can't map network drive(s)
