So this update is to test a feature that most users turn off?

I have had it turned on, on my Desktop and it's Insider VM, also turned on, on my laptop, but to be honest, I have not seen any speed improvement.
Maybe others, with much slower download speeds, might notice something???

A funny thing just happened. I made ISO out of it and it's exactly same file name as 14905 !!!

    14905.1000.160811-1739.RS_PRERELEASE_CLIENTPRO_OEMRET_X64FRE_EN-US.ISO
    What gives ?

Non improvements here either. I turned it off only in one build, because of having problem with build install...

But MS doing some optimization, could be at least good as it always was

You have used wrong ESD file, that's so simple.

I don't know what tool / decrypter you use, using the one from TF ESDtoISO tutorial the file names are generated differently. I just made ISO images from EN-US and EN-GB 14915 ESD files, the file names are:
    • EN-US: en_windows_10_pro_14915_x64_dvd
    • EN-GB: en-gb_windows_10_pro_14915_x64_dvd
