it looks like the KB3176938 update does break remote desktop connections as someone reported in the MS technet forums.
I just got kb3176938 again. But this time it update the version number to 14393.105. Anyone else?

I must admit, I do not really see the point of the release preview ring so soon after a major release.
I cannot see why the bug fixes here are not pushed out to all 14393 users anyway.
Are we seeing a start of a new strategy where updates will go out as release preview so users can test it in wild before general release? The original intent of the release preview ring was to give users on release version access to new features but without needing to be on a full Insider version.
On a similar note, the slow ring was really intended to let users use a "stable" Insider version - fast ring users know that some builds were very stable, others less so, so it allowed users to keep fairly up to date with latest features but with less risk than full fast ring.
