Glad that you are sensitive to our angst Brink. Still I have stopped Insider Builds for 3 days to see if something is released before Labor Day. I have not been able to upgrade my physical machine from build 15901 to 14905 but have done so on a few VMs so I have an 14905 ISO. However it doesn't seem worth a clean install. I wish there was a way one could upgrade builds using an ISO keeping apps and docs rather than WU.

KN versions are for Korean markets, without media features plus some pre-set shortcuts on desktop to specific Korean sites.

There is surprisingly little information available at the moment about the new Pro Education edition. It is mentioned for instance in this article:
Windows 10 for Education (Windows 10)

The Enterprise LTSB (Long Time Servicing Branch) however is well documented. According to Microsoft it "enables long-term deployment of selected Windows 10 releases in low-change configurations"
(see Windows 10 servicing options for updates and upgrades (Windows 10))
Now that you've mentioned it, some of that info seems familiar (apart from W10 Pro Education).

    Thank you for this post.

    1) The instructions are quite old as evidenced by the black circles during the upgrade. But importantly.

I have already used the media creation which worked successfully on VMs. However when I run it on my physical machine it claims that it cannot tell whether I running Windows.

I have thought this was the end for this method but possibly it is due to the fact that I am using Stardock and Winstep programs which modify many aspects (favorably from my viewpoint) of the desktop environment.

I'll wait until the next preview build and see if that can be installed using WU. If not I will temporarily uninstall some programs and try media creation tool upgrade.

Otlherwise I'll just do a clean install of the next Preview Build. It does not take me more than 4-5 to restore the programs I want since all shareware keys are retrievable either through Dropbox or Gmail.

Every time I do I a clean install (applies to Linux as well) I improve my skills. Satisfy8ing process.
