Just FYI to all that waited ad nauseam... they had a boo-boo in the "device pool" allocation, whatever that means, and fixed it a few hours ago. Dona tweeted this:

Device pool is their list of what pc(type) gets updated first, as they know the upgrade will go smoother.
    From feedback hub yesterday:
It may take a couple of hours for this build to show up for some Windows Insiders as updated device targeting needs to roll out.
    From CISCO:
Device pools define sets of common characteristics for devices. The device pool structure supports the separation of user and location information. The device pool contains only device- and location-related information.

So I got the build through WU on my laptop but yet to see it on my desktop. Going to update desktop through my custom created 14901 USB now.

This is so weird. Now happening after 2 reboots. Basically the update prepares to install and the familiar "restart" pops up on WU. After restarting, the laptop is stuck on the Lenovo boot logo. When I do a hard reset, I am back to my Insider Preview partition where WU again redownloads and prepares to install the 14901 build.

What should I do? Any tips?

Just a S.W.A.G. That's why VMs are usually the last to get it.

My Hyper/V virtual machines usually get the upgrade minutes after Dona has tweeted about them. It's my physical machines which occasionally have delays, like now with 14901. Both physical machines in Insider Fast ring got upgrade 24 hours after released, all Hyper-V virtual machines immediately.
