Something totally new here - after restart option selected
"Configuring update for Windows 10"


-restarting screen went to 100 % (usually only30%)


then restart


rebooted into F:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources>


Screen showed blue with (waiting)-loop of dots in centre

US Keyboard option in WinPE - looking like Windows Vista/7 version of PE - rounded corners, buttons with 3d type shading 3-4mm borders


Taskmgr reports:


"First UX Window" running SetupPlatform.exe and WallpaperHost.exe as running processes.


now up to 25%, not much going on...
Then reboot to 30%, loaded correct display drivers and resolution >35%


Windows is now in Windows 10 display mode: - square and X controls in RH corner
setupplatform.exe seems to be in control - chugging along at 42%
then rapidly to 72% and reboot
75% no mouse


"working on updates" 76% ... 83% ... 93%


mighost is main resorce user in taskmgr


then swiftly on to 100%,
"let's start" and so-on
