Anything different about the install process compared to previous builds?

Not that I noticed, but..

I really do HATE the pulsating blue hue changes at this part of the installs:

Unfortunately the problem still remains. I'm feeling that unless I can find a command prompt switch to roll back to the previous build it will have to be a clean install.

You may be able to use the Recovery Environment to roll back to the previous build. Provided you still have the Windows.old directory here is how. Go to Power in Start menu. (If you use Classic Shell use Shift + Windows key to bring up the Start menu) Click on Power. While holding down Shift key click Restart. This should restart your computer in the Recovery Environment. Choose Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Roll back to previous build. That should do it.

You remember the pulsating colours of LBGT rainbow flag in Windows 8? That made my eyes hurt.
