Nope. This is my first and only install of it.
That is strange, then! I tried to see what the trial time is, but didn't find it. I didn't look too hard because I already have a subscription and didn't want to mess things up.

That's okay. I was only kidding. I'm happy to have Office on the lappy for a while, as I will not install my Office2013Pro on here, and waste "another" activation. I started on the W10TPs with an empty HDD, so I was starting from scratch, not updating.

Simrick, I've been testing and using Office since the XP days and have never run into "too many installs" for it. Every time I've installed it, it's activated. Other than Office 2013 (which can only be installed on one computer), Office can go onto any computer and be activated as long as you have your license key. Usually when you change computers, you don't even have to call Microsoft.

Somewhere in the back of my mind, I've seen others with 149 day trials, which is five months instead of six. This is something I want to know about.

Unless, of course, you're in Japan, or at least bought your software in Japan. Then you're allowed to install it on a desktop and a laptop. How do they rate, I wonder?

Really!? That's not very fair, but it probably has something to do with Japanese law.

Yep. I saved my EULA/MSLT to file and actually read the entire thing while I was waiting for it to install. LOL

    Hi there

Office activations seem just fine to me

    I'm not sure How many times I've re-activated Office 2010 -- never a problem. !!!!

Hopefully when Office 2016 comes out for REAL it will be the same -- although once W10 is also released I can't see myself getting much more new hardware -- current hardware is fine and for what I do is certainly not too slow and definitely fit for purpose.

    Cheers

Same here, Jimbo. It looks like my hardware is sufficient for what I want to do . . . I will be getting new headphones, though. Other than that, not much.

Just tried to go to the link on post #49 for Office 16 64bit. It must have changed, only 32 bit offered and it is for 30 days. I D/L it anyways, will not activate.
