wonder what the hold up is?
ive been checking daily and the pc is on near on 24hrs
strange , will probably just upgrade through the tool soon
I had Win 10 version 1511 and never received the Anniversary update. I used the media creation tool Windows 10 and upgraded. Everything seems fine.

Surprise! The most recent builds are RS1 as well so the WU thinks the update is already installed and running. Fooled you!

i already know how too download it , im just wating for WU too throw it too me , anyways least it'll have some more bugs ironed out before i get it .. im happy with 1511 right now
That's good that you do! The laptop as well as the one 7 desktop upgraded fortunately before time ran out both saw the TH2 update being the 10586.xxx version 1511 and neither as well as the other two desktops running RS1 Insider builds didn't see the RS1 update itself arrive suggesting it was out but... "if you want it you have to go for it!" mentality being displayed by MS with it.

After waiting weeks for 3 of my 4 computers to get the anniversary update which my main computer all ready had, gave up and went out and found the media creation tool page for microsoft, worked perfect on 3 machines.

I had the three desktops and a laptop all updated within a day's time when not seeing it arrive on anything including VMs I had left running. At first the MC Tool was the first generally available option to use for seeing the 4 in 1 32/64-Home/Pro iso download tended to. Later the separate 32bit and 64bit dual edition iso downloads took place while the systems I end up looking after at this point are now all 64bit.

This update has transformed my tablet into a snail. Was fine before the update now it's sluggish and freezes a lot. Very unhappy. Since I did the same on the home pc and didn't have a problem I decided to delete the old version of windows to save some space on the tablet. If I was smarter I wouldn't and just rolled back.
Should we expect Microsoft to release another update that fixes this issues or am I just being plain optimistic?

    Cheers

Use the Recovery option and roll it back! If all goes well you can retry the RS1 again later but you might to see if you can create and be able to restore a full system image likely by usb before proceeding. Did you have the TH2 version 1511 on or an Insider prior to the RS1 update?

I can't roll back since I deleted the previous version to save space, as I said.

That will mean "OUCHVILLE" unless you opt for a clean install if you had previously downloaded and saved the TH2 update's iso. The problem solution however might be to start over fresh only with the RS1 in order to replace a shaky upgrade install which typically is what is being seen with each newer build. Often upgrade installs come out flaky!

I'm still watching the update here to see if things go DOA as they had with the TH2 suddenly running into things after the first two months. That will determine if the main build here will require a full wipe already postponed on the 7 Ultimate side of the 10/7 dual boot. Wanted to keep 7 on but haven't now booted into the 7 side for months having gotten not only busy with 10 but a few other things.

I can't do a "reset" otherwise my Chuwi Hi12 Tablet will enter a loop boot because of the dual boot option (windows 10 + Android 5.1), I've checked Chuwi forums. From what I've read I will have to create a Bootable usb pen from the ISO they created (with all their drivers already on-board) but I wanted to avoid that. I'm tech savvy but things can go wrong nonetheless.
Do you believe that a future Microsoft update can fix things for themselves? I don't mind waiting a month for it, to be honest.

I am still not getting one the AU on one of my systems. It is a Dell Precision 7910 with SSD boot and several external drives (3 SATA and 1 SAS, all on the main board controller).

Am I not getting offered the update due to the system or another reason?

Under Windows Update, I click on Learn More and then Get AU. It downloads a file. I ran it and it said my system is ok. I did not download the update (canceled the download) and figured I would ask here first.

    thanks
