Whether online or manual either the Windows.old is created new when none exists or the existing one is overwritten as the existing folders are backed up over the previous. That is what prevents say 7 or 8.1 from being restored if you upgrade one 10 build to the newer. For the 7 desktop upgraded to 10 TH2 the RS1 update reported not being able to revert back to 7 once the updated build was completely on in the warning message as the manual update was first started up.

The change log only indicates the minor changes between the 14393.10 update as a general release type build and the just seen previous RS1 Insider builds including the 14393 build just seen a week or so ago for those who follow the Previews. It won't make much sense for anyone who is now either updating from the TH2 or just getting into 10 for the first time.

Did you upgrade from 8.1 Home to Pro after getting the machine? That would be the only explanation for the embedded Home key in bios problem. Otherwise it would certainly be a stranger then science fluke for 10 Pro to downgrade to Home out of nowhere during the update's upgrade.

The rest was just information on how I found it

Simply going to the Anniversary FAQs page or other 10 page will link off to one of the main download/update type pages. If you should get lost roving about MS wants to make sure you find your way back to 10 easy enough! I was going through several on the 2nd when running into that factor.

The other page filler type info we would naturally expect anyways from MS who "wants to make us feel we are a part of something".

The same here. I am in China.

You wouldn't be running the same download where you are as far as language and likely whether or not you have 10N or 10KN compared to the 10 English(US) not English International or other language there. That would effect the size to a degree as well as the difference between iso on disk and after burning to blank media.

For the BD ROM ESD-ISO virtual optical drive when right clicking after all folders/files are highlighted to select properties I see 3.37gb while a direct right click on the iso file itself shows 3.38gb being the compressed file itself. I would expect the size to drop a bit if burned to disk here as well since there is a degree of compression generally seen again with any burned media.

Where can I find a link to download directly the Windows 10 ISO? The Tech Bench page seems to be down. I would prefer to download the ISO, not the Media Creation Tool.
