Microsoft removes some policies from Windows 10 Pro

I do believe some free Apps will show adds, if you have that live tile turned on. And search too I think if web results are shown? There were complaints early on about search showing Adds. In Windows 8 anyway.

Looks like we're only a few updates away from "Cloud Windows".
Probably just after W7 is "forcibly" retired by MS in 2020.

Not really, IMHO. Turn those live tiles Off, no adds. Or pay full price. Or don't use them in the first place. This isn't the first time this has happened. It's been going on long before Windows 10 showed up. Anybody running utorrent will know what I'm talking about. Open it full screen and you'll see adds.

From my side, I installed the Upgrade to Win10 just to get the Activation, and will go back to Win 8.1.

If nobody was to use W10 it wouldn't exist. Luckily I'm not "Nobody" and like using it. Just like I'm using some lame W7 (in dual boot) on local account with no internet connection just for some games that wouldn't run on anything else. Also have XP on an ancient laptop. So even if W10 was to disappear I could and would still use it.
What anyone thinks and does is no concern of mine.

Point is you nor me can buy these versions of Windows which I feel is a shame..... Irony is, we would be paying through our noses to actually get less. Well less crap that is.

There are versions around without Edge (which still does not work as it should anyway), without Media Player and what have you. Basically a desktop version as I and many Win7 adepts would have liked to have but guess what, MS has a different agenda.
They bring commerce to you now straight to what you thought was YOUR desktop.

Missed this post some how. I'm running Education on the PC I'm posting this from. VIA my MSDN key, which is a Retail Key not a MAK key. Retail Key being an option suggests to me that it may be available to consumers, at some point. Cortana is still there, the report is it will be removed in the Anniversary Edition. I'll just have to wait and see if she is removed. If she is, I'll be going back to Pro.

This is just the beginning, when they get around it, they will just continue removing policies at will, I expect Pro to disappear eventually. I think, that I will give Home version a try, it is slightly faster and subscription fees will be lower.
