    Weird. Never happened with me.
Do you have more than 1 Insider running? If not, MS may not bother. I have multi and so does Wynona.

@tracit99 I checked those locations booted to 14393.5 - they were there..... Just checked again....

@f14tomcat I have moved all items in both the these folders shown above to a temp folder on my Desktop and restarted my computer. The default user account picture is still showing on the login screen. Just to test further I locked my computer and it is still there. Lastly signed out and yes it is still there. This worked before 14371 but no more. This is just a minor annoyance and I had just become accustomed to a clean login screen in builds prior to 14371. Maybe a little OCD as well.

Yeppers and although I have at least 20 years on Kari, I hate to say it doesn't get any better. I've noticed leaving words out of some of my posts too. And I'm such a stickler for grammar and spelling . . . I try not to correct anyone, though, unless it's something that absolutely must be corrected.

Oh, and remembering being told something that I wasn't told . . .
Of course, as a Brit, I would naturally have to dispute spelling!

US and UK - people divided by a common language.

As an aside, I love the response by a British diplomat, when told his plane will be landing in New York momentarily, and he asked if there would be enough time to disembark -LOL.

It may be pulling it from you MS Online Account. About the only place left. Try deleting the pic in your MS Account (online) and see what happens.

I'm fixing to clean install this most recent update and than try to install the KB update. Is the safest route to first unplug everything from the machine, power cord, remove battery and run the update without internet? Or at some point do I have to plug up to the internet? I've seen some differences in opinions the last week.
I wouldn't pull out the battery; it may come in handy if you have a power outage.
I would leave the battery in, plug the power cord into the wall, remove any external accessories (USB flash drives, external hard drives, second monitors, printers, docking stations, etc.), and I would go ahead and connect to the internet as well, when it asks if you want Windows to check for updates during the install. That way Windows will be able to install any driver updates it needs.

EDIT: See @Wynona? I thought the same as you!

lovin' the way continuum operates on the 950XL..
got Groove music on headphones, using the monitor (- very slick graphics, btw..) wanted to use the Equalizer..
    - easy, just call it up using the phone, switch to "jazz" setting, enhance for Virtual surround - Groove away..

    - no break in the music, super-smooth to operate

    - as I said..
lovin' the way continuum operates on the mobile..

    - anybody else hooked up..??

You been remotin' into my computers again, TC!?

    I didn't realize that's why I have to keep verifying I'm me.

Just my theory, but every time I re-do a VM of insider (cause I've made it sick!), after a few minutes a little message on either my Account or Security screen says you need to verify. It's still activated, though. So I go thru the cell phone ringy-dingy routine and all is happy.
