My account picture has been there from the get-go. When I was a Microsoft Butterfly, we had all kinds of emoticons available to us and the one I chose has been linked to my Windows computers ever since.

I've never tried to change it because it was just always there.
Maybe because you are nice and they don't want to see my ugly mug ?

Dunno, but I hope this is the last time I have to verify my Microsoft account!

Somebody tried to brake into my couple weeks ago so I had to change all passwords and verify account twice.

Very small annoyances, I have automatic sign in so I can see it only for couple of seconds.
Just for curiosity and for the sake of confirmation I switched to automatic login and I also get the default stick figure on restart. This does not occur if I manually lock screen or signout.

Yep and it shows up everywhere else except at login screen.
I think it's a typical bug for those who that updated from preview builds. Me too!

My most recent Windows 10 installation was this past Saturday and it was not an update. I did a clean install with partition format. I see the default account picture on the login screen after a restart when automatically login is enabled.

As CountMike stated just a minor annoyance.

Back to my original annoyance. I am still looking for a way to hide the user account default picture on the login screen. If it also hides the picture in other places that is ok. I just do not want any picture on my login screen.

I haven't found a way to get rid of the round picture on the login, but it can be changed to whatever you want it to be by specifying in your user account. I'm using part of my desktop wallpaper to tie in thematically.
