You are right, I just checked, boot time is down to 10 secs. Even after .3 update some settings changed from my defaults but now everything stayed same, even system restore and shortcut arrows didn't reappear. Old stile mixer I usually change too stayed and so did Take ownership.
Looks like they are almost done with updates.Try screen refresh (F5) now it just blinks.

updated version avira is effecting permissions.

also ran into some powershell errors.

uninstalled avira and rebooted and everything returned to normal.


noticed the problem when I went to play a old game. and windows wanted to install legacy component direct play but failed with error.

No issues with avira on my pc.

My shortcut arrows haven't reappeared throughout the last two builds. Once I'd disabled them they stayed that way. Just goes to show how users machines differ.
Not checked system restore yet but I doubt a CU would have changed the state I set it to.
