I have multiple Windows 7 and Windows 8 license keys for existing laptops and purchased keys from the past. I want to take advantage of the free upgrade to Windows 10.

Since the deadline for the free upgrade is only until July 29, 2016, I don't have enough time to upgrade all my PCs to Windows 10. In addition, couple of my Windows 8 keys are not installed on any PC, and are sitting unused.

Is there any way I can convert my Windows 7 and Windows 8 keys to Windows 10 without having to actually install Windows 10 on a PC? This there any conversion process or activation process without installing it on a PC?
It is not possible, there is no way to convert keys you have to Windows 10 product key.

Even if it were possible to convert the keys, it wouldn't help you. Using a qualified, valid Windows 7 or 8.1 product key to activate Windows 10 is only possible until Friday 29th (actually the free upgrade offer ends on Saturday 10 AM UTC):

    [ug][/ug]

It means that Windows 10 must be installed and activated before the deadline. Regarding Windows 10 activation, qualifying valid Windows 7 and 8.1 product keys become useless after that. They can still activate Windows 7 and 8.1 respectively but not Windows 10.

This really is extremely simple: you want free Windows 10, you have to install and activate it before the deadline. If you do it later your keys from previous versions of Windows are useless regarding Windows 10, you have to buy one instead.

I trust this will be analysed in detail on the Saturday Forums, so we can get a mutually agreed understanding?
Well, actually, I just saw a post by someone that showed Build 17396.3 (probably a cumulative update) has already been released.

I'd wonder if the build number is actually 14396.3.

Edit: Duhhhhhhhh, Nope, it's 14393.3, but the following information still applies, since I didn't type it in!

    How about we look here?

Microsoft releases cumulative update, build 14393.3, for Windows 10 beta version 1607 | InfoWorld

    or here?

Microsoft Releases Windows 10 Build 14393.3 (Cumulative Update KB3176925) - Update

    or here?

Heres fixed and improved in Windows 10 build 14393.3

And the list goes on . . . I even found a couple that if I posted them here, I'd get into trouble, so I didn't. However, we have a couple of well known sites and one I haven't been to before, so I think that's enough.

BTW, looks like it got released sometime around July 22.
