I don't get why are they lying to us, they did the same with the last release.
I'm on 14371 and I would like to upgrade to 14393 to test it if that's the final build..
Ah, so you want to be able to say you're an Insider, but you don't want to do the necessary testing. You want to be given the good stuff without the necessary testing.

Sorry to be harsh, but I calls 'em like I sees 'em.

BTW, Microsoft isn't lying to us . . . they're not telling everything they know, but they're not lying.

    This is killing me...

Ten days to go and I still don't know what's going to be the build number! How can I continue living with this? What if it is not this 14393 I am using now? How am I supposed to use my Windows if I don't know what the build number of Anniversary Update will be?

My whole existence, continued use of Windows depends of this. Why are they not telling the build of Anniversary Update? How can I continue living not knowing it now? So many things depend on me getting to know what will the build be! Can't they understand? I can't eat, sleep, think, can't customize Windows, can't meet friends and relatives. I feel like if MS is wanting to make me crazy by withholding the Anniversary Update build number, on purpose, completely understanding how difficult my life will be not knowing it!

    Windows sux! Long Live MacOSX!
Kari, Kari, Kari . . . you may be the most impatient denizen in these forums!

Good one. I enjoyed it immensely!

OP is on 14371 - maybe he cannot upgrade?

Re. lying comment - that is just silly of course.

The lie part was my bad, I misread that tweet and I thought the insiders gonna get a new build on 2nd august.

I like to test new builds, but upgrading and setting everything up after a upgrade can take a few hours. I have a lot of stuff, some old peripherals and software that needs to be reinstalled and configured so I don't have the time or the will to do it every few days.

See if this list of programs has yours, that you need, and then use PowerShell & chocolatey to automate their install in the background. @Kari or @Wynona can probably help you:)

I recently bought two 2TB HDDs. I've set them up as RAID1 - not boot OS Drive - using Intel Rapid Storage Technology having set the UEFI/BIOS to SATA RAID.

A clean install took twice as long as a SATA ACHI set-up.

However boot time from the POST beep to Log-in screen is about three seconds.

It picked up the Cumulative Update to .3 as soon as I logged into the Fast Ring. A good hydration day, Methinks.
