This is good news. I don't mind a weekly update.

No not very likely. MS has said that there would be no slow ring build for 10049 because of a bug. So if they put out another build soon like this week you may miss 10061. Its not very good unless you ISO clean install anyway.

    labeeman,
Thanks so much for sharing that information..with every buid release, I'm getting more and more excited about the finished product.
    David :)
Yes, it'll be the best thing Microsoft has done in quite some time--surpassing Win7 in popularity, no doubt. One area that currently needs a lot of work is the Start Menu, though. It needs to be at least as useful and robust as the Win7 menu, and hopefully even more powerful. Being able to access and/or run every program in a box from the single desktop page is a huge advantage compared to having to change screens and then horizontally and vertically scrolling several more pages to see it all (They should have named the "start page" "scrolling pages".) At least, that's certainly true for those of us who choose to use keyboards & mice...;)

This. I clean installed 10061 on my laptop and can't even install drivers, so its useless. Trying to do an in place upgrade now but if that doesn't work i'll try 10056, which I didn't have the time to try when it was current. Pointless to spend too much time figuring out 10061 if there is potentially a more polished build coming out this week.

Sorry to hear that its not working out for you. Maybe the newer build will work better for you. Hope it does get dropped at the Build.

I have 10061 installed at the moment. It disables my keyboard and I have to use the on screen version. PITA. I am going back to the iso10041. I do not think I will have a choice of which version the update will advance me to after install? Fast = 10061 again, Slow = 10056??

I think if you are on SLOW you will stay on 10041, FAST yes 10061 you are correct. 10056 was never actually released IIRC, only leaked. So you wont get it pushed out to you

Thanks... Hopefully. This is a serious driver issue (I figured out the root cause of it is Windows update trying to install graphics drivers, and them being bad drivers/failing which causes my screen to go black, and the intel setup.exe from Intels site, as well as the .zip with the .inf's fails with a "your PC not supported" error.)

The intention of Microsoft is that all new installations of W10 on computers with W7 and W8.1 will be done by updating,
If you have a M$ account it would make the whole process of transferring all your data a doddle.

As for your opinion regarding an ISO install is better, only if you have messed about with the registry or have a compromised computer.

Others like myself have updated each issue without problem during the installation, obviously bugs have been found afterwards, but surely isn't this why M$ have released these previews is to sort out these out.
