Dear Windows 10 team, as long as Taskbar has existed in Windows it has been possible to change its location and size. As long as Taskbar has existed you have blatantly ignored the fact that quite a many users do not use default Taskbar size and location (at bottom, about 40 pixels high).

Why still in latest Windows 10 builds your coders make some native applications to open at a fixed point based on default Taskbar position and size? Opening an application center on display should be center in the visible area of desktop (desktop resolution - Taskbar dimensions), and top left should mean top left in the visible area of desktop (desktop resolution - Taskbar dimensions), just to name some examples.

    I mean for instance this:

    PowerShell:

OK, I can change the location where PS opens in the future but what about apps I cannot change that, like Quick Assist:

Of course I know and accept that this small detail has nothing to do with functionality of Windows, but it's annoying. Please fix this :)

Ever since Atari I liked taskbar at the bottom. I know that on the side makes more sense with wide screens but just couldn't get used to it like that. Narrow, bottom and autohide is what works for me best, even discarded few good Linux distros because they keep everything on the top where I instinctively expect menus.

The one thing MS did get right as far as the icons being displayed in Quick Launch type additional toolbars was the View option. While having a dozen or so small icons for items pinned to the taskbar I can grow the items in any additional bar for ease of view as far as just what each icon is for as well as being quick grabs for the most often used. When having the main bar populated with numerous items and wanting to keep them in plain view you are forced to use the small icons option in the Taskbar properties..

Position by default from XP and Vista with built in Quick Launch through 7, 8, 8.1, and now 10 has always seen taskbar on bottom Things were even worse with Legacy 9x days! You couldn't simply bounce a main bar around from side to side as well as top or bottom. To grow the task bar wider simply means seeing it unlocked with a fast right click where you can add further without the hidden from view arrow but more then one row if not large icons for items pinned.

    I have a desktop, Surface 3, Windows Phone & a Compute Stick w/Win10 32 bit.
Does this mean I have to put the preview on all theses devices or pay to update later!

I am 87 & this would be beyond my capabilities!
    Is there an easier method!

Any device you upgrade to Windows 10 before July 29 gets a a free license lasting lifetime of that device. Any device you upgrade after July 29 needs a paid license.

When upgrading you don't have to upgrade to and use preview builds. It is totally OK not to opt in for Insider Previews but instead upgrade to last stable (publicly released) version and build, at this moment it would be TH2 version 1511 (build 10586).

OP - Do install the release version. Insider versions are test versions and not for normal public use.

Also, be aware that there will be a major official upgrade soon, from Aug 2nd, so it will look like you are installing it again - this is nothing to worry about.

I just blocked it. hopefully that will stop it from continuing to install. Now I'm heading to the feedback so I can report it.
    How do I block it?
