This is the final update for August 2 there boys and girls, reason for no water mark. . .have a a wonder weekend playing with the next release for those not in the insider program. . ..
A bug some see and others don't apparently! Good ole MS once again wouldn't you say?!
Presently trying to get another pair of desktops upgraded and had thought about borrowing the nic card out of the full tower for the older mini tower but ordered a card for it instead since it will no longer be seeing the dial up type web access. 10/100/1000 type cable more then likely if not dsl there.
The board has the RJ-33 port for Lan where a separate RJ-45 is going in. Since both cases were equipped with second internal HDs images of the originally fresh 7 installs will be seen to while these will only be seeing the RS1 update going on. First I have to get that other mini tower I built for a sibling tended to however. Surprisingly the upgrade went quite well since there wasn't much of anything on it.
The former neighbor long gone had tapped the phone line leaving that person without a working phone now strictly cell only and why the image was only 23gb in size while the offer for free upgrade was still the move to make. At least the OS upgrade will be timely not knowing when someone will decide to get back online or not since that was one person considering a 3 way offer for cable tv, phone, and internet but slow at getting around to things.
It turns out recent reports of July 15th expiry date was a bug.
Run slmgr /dlv and no sign of any expiry date.
This is same as happened as what when final version of TH2 (10586) was released.
99% certain this is Redstone.
edit: windows blog here says otherwise but why remove the watermark - does not make sense!

First for me: Long time ago at very beginning I did that registry change to stop automatic updates and ever since I had to check for updates manually, but this time download was ready in the morning.
Another one is that I stopped drivers updates but this time it reverted my drivers for GPU to 16.6.2 although just yesterday I updated them to 16.7.2. As far as could see that's only driver changed.
Does anyone find that boot times for this Insider Build are noticeably slower than for the main Release Build?
I'm running a couple of SSD's and Insider is considerably slower...makes me wonder if I want to update my main build to Anniversary on Aug 2nd!!
