    hi Badrobot,

well that works for sure, but with tablet mode i only get full screens...

Had to use Project Spartan to view the video, strange no good in IE11.

But is will reuse the previous fashion.

    Thanks for the help here.

If you want go to desktop, just toggle off tablet mode manually on the notification area and minimize the start screen to become a star menu. But everytime you boot up, you will get the tablet start screen.

I am guessing that this build isn't available anywhere?
Just tried to find it and all I can find is 10041 and that's it.

Obviously I am not looking too hard or, I am going blind, anyone help please? :)

A setback. Everything was working fine, no issues, then the last software installs and remote tests both brought deal breaker issues: Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 crashes at start every time, does not run at all, and I have got blue screens now after trying to sign in remotely using Remote Desktop Connection to a physical 10061 rig. Three sign in tries, three times BSOD on the remote host as soon as remote user signs in.

Funny thing is RDC works when connecting to a remote host on a virtual machine.

Anyway, these issues force me to return to 10049.

In your Update settings, are you set to Slow Ring or Fast Ring? 10061 is currently available to Fast ring users but not currently to Slow ring users.

Another factor is to use your virtual machines using Remote Desktop Connection instead of Hyper-V's own Virtual Machine Connection, sharing all host (remote client) resources for guest (remote host). I use all my Windows and Linux virtual machines mostly with RDC.
That's what Enhanced mode does when using the console, it uses RDP.

    Thanks for that. :)

I'm surprised why if one uses a leaked non released build you should expect it to cleanly update from the "Official" build. I'm sure the update process was designed using build 10049 as the source system. Any other system won't necessarily work -- nor should people even expect it to !!!.
You do realize that folks like internal testers, partners, and what not get those builds "officially" and they need to upgrade as well, so the upgrade process has to work for more than just official public builds. The only reason why they don't is if there is a bug that prevents the upgrade.

I think, on the 10061 Lock Screen, you can sort of choose to keep getting new 'Windows Spotlight' pictures. The prompt stays up for a limited time or until you make a choice.
