This is a technical preview, the point of which is to test it as is, not necessarily how you may want it. Changing the registry defeats the whole purpose of a technical preview.
Well Fracking, i disagree here. Suppose i do the trick of Badrobot and i like it i will keep that.
If i follow you then no one is authorised to use CLASSIC SHELL either, please...

Everybody should make some changes and inform MS with the result, bad or good and then we are getting somewhere.

    hi Badrobot,

well that works for sure, but with tablet mode i only get full screens...

Had to use Project Spartan to view the video, strange no good in IE11.

But is will reuse the previous fashion.

    Thanks for the help here.

Just to add that Avast support said not use windows defender or other anti virus/malware programs or you will get BSOD's and other faults and to only use one firewall. ( BSOD's, freeze, etc.. stopped after turning off windows defender and windows firewall)

I have a bad bug i've reported in the last couple builds where after locking the pc, it won't sense input from my usb mouse or bluetooth keyboard. I have to reboot. It was a couple times after installing 10049 and 10056. 10061 has been every time after I lock and go to sleep or lock and go to work. I have the power settings set to never sleep too.
I have had something similar where my USB mouse stops working, although in my case I don't need to lock it, it just happens when I'm in the middle of doing something.
One thing to try for sleep-related issues though - if you go into Device Manager and right click to access the Properties of the driver, you might try going into the Power Management tab (if there is one) and unchecking the option to 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'.

I'm going to have to try a clean install. None of my programs will launch from the start menu. They will start if I pin them to the taskbar.

    Hi there

I believe that was a known pre-published bug - Win 32 apps won't launch from the start menu - you have to pin to taskbar.

Performing a clean instillation fixes that issue.

    Hi folks

I'm surprised why if one uses a leaked non released build you should expect it to cleanly update from the "Official" build. I'm sure the update process was designed using build 10049 as the source system. Any other system won't necessarily work -- nor should people even expect it to !!!.

That does seem to fix the issue - but it's a bit of a pain re-installing everything again after clean install. !!! ESD==>ISO works fine.

Are you saying that a clean installation from ISO fixes the bug that is stated in Insider Hub regarding pinned desktop apps in the Start Menu?

It sure does.. I had that issue with the update but it cleared up when I did a clean install from the ISO I created from the ESD. :)
