I was expecting (hoping) the official confirmation e-mail would come out this week. Not a peep though? They've been hyping up this new program, but giving out next to no info?

Yeah, I got a reply on Yammer, after making that post, confirming next week some time. Our names will be engraved on these ones and that will take extra time etc.

    Update:

    Hi,

Once again we would like to welcome you to the Windows Insider MVP Program.

Many of you still had questions about the program, so we created a package that include FAQs, the Code of Conduct, a list of benefits you will receive, and a list of what the areas of contribution to the program are. You can download it here.

Some of you have also asked about when you will receive your Award Kit. Once we have the final list of program members, we will start engraving the trophies and will send them out as soon as we can. If your mailing address that you gave the old program is no longer accurate, make sure to mail your correct shipping address to **REMOVED**.

Also mark July 26th and July 27th on your calendars, we will be doing PGIs on these dates. We will send calendar invites with the actual time and details about the PGIs beforehand.

    Thank you,
martin on behalf of the windows insider mvp program

I see that e-mail in my inbox. Those PGI's should be interesting.
