    If you're talking to me, Night Hawk, I'm running Windows 10 Pro for the US.

    You are running into a different type of preview being seen there. Of course the edition of 10 you are running would expect to be seeing some differences due to location as well as language. Are you running the 10 or 10KN or 10N for example?
    Plain old fashion 10 pro english US with a german keyboard, That's must be just some kind of bug(a gnat as it is the only thing I saw, and that by accident).

    I have this play control in taskbar too. Even remember one notification about it few days ago, but cant remember what it stated (if you shut me) right now.

    With everyone running the US English 10 and not one of the others the next thing would be settings on that machine which would be anything from custom themes, display settings, taskbar tweaker app if any(have +7Tweaker on here but hardly ever used), etc. to explain that one. I suspect folder and folder view settings would be the most likely suspect however.

    No Tweak, no special settings, almost stock(only Ccleaner, MBAE, MBAM, PicPick).

    Same here. Display language is English US, just added Slovenian keyboard and proofing language. No tweaks.

    I just cleaned the system then ran:
    fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\&fsutil usn deletejournal /d /n c:&Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup&&sfc /scannow&Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth&sfc /scannow&Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase&pause

    And it found nothing, but rebooted any how, and the player controls are still there.

    I just tested, I have the Settings Taskbar icon showing media controls on every Windows 10 machine, real and virtual.
