Just a WAG, Bristolian, but has she reset the router and modem?
Not yet, will try that now...

Just tried, she can get online for maybe two minutes, then she gets booted off. We're sharing the same connection...

    Just one word: Boring!
    It's wasted time...just unpaid "Bugfixing/hunting"
Will now skip any further updates until MS releases something really interesting to test.
For example: A possibility to change the "system-font", icons, colors for "Modern Apps", settings, start menu, etc.
Or, enabling custom dark themes for non "Modern Apps" (not the crappy "high contrast" ones), to avoid eye strain.
    Have to agree, somewhat.
Install a new Build just to witness known issues that you can't fix yourself anyway, then sit around and wait for a new Build?
Seems a pointless waste of time.

Thank you Wynona, I ended up downloading the drivers and utility for the wifi dongle, and installed that on her PC. Seems to be ok now, although saying hers is up to date on 14372!.

    Very Best Wishes,
    Bob.

Keep checking for updates. Oh, and check to see if she's been moved to the slow ring.

The only time I've been moved to the slow ring is when I've clean installed, but since she's had troubles with her wifi, that may have happened.

No issues with download and install of 14379. In fact System Restore was still on.:)

From my experience as an IT pro testing is far more tedious than boring. Getting all of the bugs out of programs/software before they go into a production environment is better than trying to fix the bugs at 2AM and you have only about 20 minutes to get the job done. Been there and it's not fun. Oh and your boss will get on your ass for that stuff.

MS needs to have as many people as possible to verify that the patches really do work out in the wild and not just on their systems. As in my example they want to do it now rather than have customers complain when the new build is dropped in Aug.

Downloaded and installed at 17.00 GMT + 1 yesterday. I did a clean install today.

The ol hydration, distillation, fermentation, moonshine, or whatever you're having your self, is certainly speeding up.
