http://forum.macrium.com/Topic8364.a...Index=4#bm8427 Is the thread I'm following on MR Forum, it seems they are working on it but need something from MS to get the schedules working again. If we start a thread here please post a link here so I'll know to get in there too.
    Found a thread here:

Yes I got the same Dialog, however after a few minutes the 8gadet installer popped up and updated it and my gadgets popped up and working, I then had to manually start Core Temp for my Temps to show.
I have an old version of 8gadget pack circa Sept 2015 which I have never updated. Same thing happened in both TH1 and latest Anniversary update, on reboot message popped up saying 8 gadget pack needs to be repaired. Clicked that and it loaded my gadget (I only use the cpu and ram meter) right up and has been fine since.

This is disconcerting to hear. Although I must say, my Insider rig has had 1607 on it for a while, and scheduled backups have indeed been running. But it has not yet been scheduled to run since the .10 patch came out, so I don't know if that's what did it. Do you have a link in the Macrium forums we can watch?
Here you go: Schedules no longer work after Anniversary Update

I am one of the participants on that thread and had alerted the Macrium team back in mid June. A bit surprised and disappointed Macrium didn't see this coming and issue a fix. They have an open support ticket with MS. Fat lot of good that'll do. It's easier to maneuver a car than a battle tank...if you know what I mean. :)

And what happens if you get a Ransomware attack that encrypts all your devices? Do you keep at least one copy "offline"? What happens if there's a fire at your house? What happens if you delete some data and don't realize it until after your backups are overwritten? OneDrive has file versioning, and can't be affected by Ransomware.

If your data is also local, then there's nothing to worry about. If the MS authentication servers are offline (or your internet is down) you can still log in because credentials are cached locally. Just unplug your computer from the net and try it yourself.
You got me on the fire risk but I guess if that happened I would be more focused on other things! Offline backup I have a couple Macrium images on a 3 TB hard drive so hopefully I'm covered, maybe I should store that offsite though:)

As far as I know this is due to mr not updating an API that they should have some time ago, why they would drop the ball on this when they are normally good I don't know there is workaround that has been posted but I would expect an update release soon

Seems MS broke something (at least that's what it says in the MR thread).

    A temporary workaround is here:

That's where I differ from some of the views presented on that MR forum thread. It is MR 6.x that is has been unable to handle the changes...not the OS. As for legacy support, if you were to create a new task in 1607 14393.10 you'd still be able to configure it for WinXP/2000/Server2003.

I can remember the rubbish spouted against Microsoft on the release of Vista blaming Microsoft for the lack of drivers for hardware. Later it came to light that Creative Labs had by design not produced drivers for older hardware to push sales for its new hardware that did have drivers for vista. I don't think this is the case with MR but the phrase "they would say that wouldn't they" comes to mind when reading some of the information circulating
