I was not getting the anniversary update from WU on any of my three Windows 10 machines so I downloaded the iso from the link posted by @Computer Chicken. I burned the iso to a DVD and used it to update two desktop computers and one laptop. All three updated without any problems, upon startup of my wifes pc there was a notification that defender had found malware and removed it, go figure LOL. I look forward to doing a clean install in the near future but for now everything seems to be working just fine.
was going to do an esd to iso dvd but when I went into $WINDOWS.~BT folder sources folder install.esd was not there
so did a search of c drive and there is actually a esd folder
c:\ESD/windows/sources and it was in there
My Speccy is working fine now. I had to download a newer version and install it and everything is fine.
OK try Autoruns from Microsoft
It is a little daunting at first as it by default shows every command related to startup Apps, addons and the like
select the Login Tab and it will normally show everything that starts when you login to windows
If you see something suspicious ( an additional link to OneDrive in your case), you can simply uncheck the tick on the left of the entry and close autoruns then reboot and the extra shroud not show
if it does then you may need to re-run Autoruns and uncheck other entries until you get the correct result for you - once you are happy with the way your system is running, give it a day or so, and you can then go back into autoruns and right click on your disabled item(s) and choose delete although this is not essential
I really surprised at the way this Anniversary update is not being seen on my computers. Out of two desktops and two laptops only one desktop saw and upgraded. I had to use the direct upgrade link that was posted to get the updates. The desktops are running fine. The two laptops are being upgrade now. Hope they upgrade without any problems. :)
Microsoft has always stated that this would be a staged release, I and I think others assumed that this would be geographically/ time-zone based, but it appears that some other criteria is in play.
Maybe designed to allow people to get at least one copy quickly and additional copies later.
I have already read that Chinese language versions are not yet updating though English versions I'm China are, so there may be multiple criteria in play
I seem to recall reading somewhere that newer hardware would be offered the updates first. I don't know if that is true or not though. My 10yr old laptop hasn't been one of the chosen as yet :)
