I have spent many hours reinstalling printer drivers the new version took off. Trying to stop the nag screen to log onto my MS account and now for some mad reason when ever you reboot or start from hibernation the mouse is on my laptop screen NOT my desktop one. I also get massages re running programs on the laptop not desktop screen
There looks to me a little unfinished and its taken much more sorting out than the other big updates.
The icons have been jumping all over the place so thats worse so far not fixed.

    Hi there

On one computer automatic update failed as it didn't like the Hardware RAID driver so couldn't find HDD. However clean install and injected RAID driver from W12 Server Software download drivers did the trick.

I'm having an issue though getting MACRIUM (latest version) to work.

I've backed up one computer using Linux DD command -- takes a long time but it does work. Restore works too but it takes over 1 hr 55 mins to restore a LAPTOP !!! so not the ideal method !!!. The Linux stand alone system at boot time allows you to inject the RAID Driver so no probs there --it's just the TIME required. Takes 4 Hrs for my Desktop server to restore with DD !!!! normally 12 mins with Macrium.

Somehow I need to get the RAID driver into the Macrium Stand alone backup -- seems only the PAID version ("Technician's USB") allows that. Shame how so many Free products are going more and more "Pro" i.e pay. There surely must be a way to add RAID driver to Macrium -- the stand alone version is based on PE so it must be possible.

    Cheers

    Thanks for info
I don't remember seeing any options for setting it up while doing yesterdays upgrade

Going to try setting up as US region see if that works, then back to UK
If no good will check out Brinks tutorial

    Cheers
I'm having exactly the same problem with Cortana. Upgraded my non-insider laptop from 10586 to 14393.10 and lost Cortana (even though the process is running in task manager). Seems to be related to region/language and whether you're an administrator as someone on another forum said that it wasn't working for his local admin account, but worked for a non-admin user!

Also sounds like we're not the only ones with it..

What an absolute balls up updating my Surface Pro 4 turned out to be, hopeless trying to get anything to make sense.
Solved hopefully (fingers crossed) by going to Recovery and doing a Reset.

Hello all of you that survived yesterday

Can I ask something of you all, now that the update is here can we start new threads for possible issues after install.

This will help others who have the same or similar issues - It will also show in Net searches so will help even non members

I may close this and other threads, (In the News area), at least temporarily as there are far two many issues being discussed there that are not easily visible to anyone

+1,, great idea. This one is already a bit to messy to follow and issue/fixes. Please do close it.
