Does anyone know if the MCT has been updated to pull ISO images of the Anniversary Update yet? I can access the MCT download page, and it even identifies that I'm running "Windows 10" and provides an "Update Now" button to get me to the "latest edition." However, I have limited bandwidth allocation and don't want to waste 3-4GB on an outdated ISO version. If anyone has used MCT today (~1PM on August 2nd for me in the GMT+4 time zone) and can comment on this I'd be most appreciative.

Note: I'm currently running the most recent RTM build 1511(10586.494) and NOT Insider Preview.

    Thanks!
    RCK
I would not expect any changes until 10AM PST as this is the official release time - also it's not a Synchronous release so may be a day or two before it's available in some markets

They do use a staggered release and said the this upgrade will use this, they start in Redmond with the official release at 10AM PST and then logic would dictate that they sequentially release towards the east by time zone (with odd retrograde steps to cover Hawaii and Alaska Etc) - so that the US market is first followed by Europe, Asia with Australia & New Zealand last
Just would be nice if they would actually come out and say 'If your in this zone/region then release will be on such and such a date'. Then at least a user knows kind of when to expect windows update to be delivering it. On the last big update end July I think there was quite a lot of people worrying as to why Windows Update wasn't picking it up until many days after the release.

Thanks, but isnt that totally backwards
going that way round, some place might not get it till Thursday or later (delayed release plus added time)

MS logic just seems really weird
Oh Yes, it would be logical to go the other way, but that is not the best way for the Microsoft market demographic. MS is a business and so they look after the larger markets first, ( as any other business would) There is a logic that china should be one of the first but being as how the Chinese just steal what they want and copy it they are not that big a market

I agree on the looking after the largest market first

    But
If it was released at 10 am in Europe (Using CET as the biggest area timezone)
That would be 1am Pacific/5am Eastern
Would that have a negative impact on the US market?

Ok, that is it. I am going outside, I can not handle the pressure.
If it is not ready by the evening, MS better to have a good excuse.

Using our own (Designer Media) demographics for the sites, the US tends to be relatively quiet during their night ( a lot of activity seems to be during working hours and the local evening) so a 10am CET would sit in a good place for MS servers

About 8 hours to go using the release time of 10:00am Pacific Daylight Time. That's in Redmond, CA, USA. This is a typical and normal general release time for MS. They use exactly the same schedule for the monthly Patch Tuesday updates. Nothing unusual about the time at all. Current Local Time in Redmond, Washington, USA
