This Friday is the 1st of July not the 29th of July, and that is tomorrow. Mixed up what month it is maybe?

Unless the Calendar Printing Company made a huge mistake, July 29 comes on a Friday, Lee. I just had a second and third look, making sure I'm looking at July and that the calendar is for 2016.

I doubt the 29th being a Friday had anything to do with changing the release date to the 2nd. I'm sure MS knew that the 29th was on a Friday before they announced the original release date. Or at least I hope they know how to use a calendar. :)
Did they actually announce that the Anniversary Version would be released on July 29, or did I just assume that would be the day?

When I get home and have more time I'll try to find the links to the pages where I read it was the 29th. Even if MS has to extend the release date again I'm OK with that. I don't want MS to release the next version until the feel confident that it's ready.

Me too, Winuser, me too! What you said!

I know we all have assumed the release would be on July 29 because Microsoft said Anniversary, but I started to think on it, and wondered if there had actually been a Microsoft announcement. Mostly because, IIRC, Microsoft generally hedges their bets and don't give concrete dates.

I can't remember seeing any official saying it was to be released on that date? My memory isn't the best at times though. I've been assuming it would be on or before that date. One last cookie to temp with before the free upgrade ends.

I don't recall an official date either. The only thing they were mentioning was the anniversary date and that's July 29th.

Is there no way you can get a later Build ISO? I'm not sure, but I think the Media Creation Tool will give you the latest ISO Microsoft has issued.
