Not a big deal that it's not coming out on the 29th. That's a Friday and MS doesn't like to release new builds on either Monday or Friday so it makes sense.

Ah,, actual no. I don't recall and if you understand how MS releases new builds they don't do them on a Monday or Friday, the 29th is a .. Friday. The 2nd is a Tuesday and that would fit with the time table of new build releases.

Four days does not a delay make. :)

Friday would make it exactly a year, but a Tuesday release makes more sense because there will be support personnel within Microsoft if things happen to go awry.

I seem to recall a recent Friday release, Jeff. Or have I just gone beta crazy?

I haven't seen anything yet about the actual logistics of the Anniversary Update, but I'm thinking it won't be forced and can be delayed for a while. If it's rolled out like usual WU updates, I have some friends who will be completely lost with the changes it will make on their systems. They depend on me to do these things and make sure everything is back the way they are used to.

I doubt the 29th being a Friday had anything to do with changing the release date to the 2nd. I'm sure MS knew that the 29th was on a Friday before they announced the original release date. Or at least I hope they know how to use a calendar. :)

Wasn't there a four day bug in the Calendar App?

The insider drops have been much faster so the day they come down can be on any day. But, the main builds are likely not to occur on a Mon or Fri.
