Mary Jo Foley (actually Ali Robertson) has a more politically correct meaning.... "Release to Mainstream"

    Timing Question

I understand the update will be a large download in terms of its size. The week of Aug 1 I and my two laptops (both W10 home) will be on vacation where the bandwidth will be very limited and unable to support a large download in a timely fashion. I'll be away about 10 days. Is there an effective way to delay the automatic download of the update until I return and have the ability to download such a large amount of data?

If you have the pro version there should be an option to defer upgrades under the update section. Also if the 2 computers are on the same network one can in theory update the other.

Small Edit: Also look for another setting about metered connections. That will make it not download at all.

Think I'll let my PC update to the Anniversary release then grab the esd and do a clean install and come off the Fast Ring for a while :)

That's what I was hoping to hear!! So it can be handled "like" an Insider build, snag the ESD before restart, and run it thru the Kari Machine! Get my ISO for a clean Pro install.

I have never made an ISO from an ESD, where is the tutorial?

I'm definitely dong a clean. But coming off Fast? That will probably take care of itself. Even MS has to come up for air every so often!
