    The data is possibly recoverable. Look at minitool partition wizard, recuva etc. Just do not write to drive.

    I don't know? Mine was a 1 TB WD too. I was able to just repartition mine an copy my data back.

    Just remember for next time: Buy an external HDD, and backup your files on every HDD and do a System Restore. That way, when this happens again, you will be prepared. Always be prepared. :)

    I don't know either why an update would do that.

    Edit: Wait, go to File Explorer and click "This PC" and see if the stuff is still in that HDD in File Explorer.

    System updated, no clean install, everything is working fine, i found there is a "windows.old" folder, it is very big almost 20 Gb, should i delete it?

    Backup the install.esd file if you have space somewhere and then delete it. Run sfc /scannow first though.
