Should I still restart the current computer that has the Anniversary Update ready to install? Will I lose my activation upon installing the update on this computer that has the Anniversary Update pending installation?
Do you have a back up image of everything saved to an external drive, in case of a failure ?

That black theme is amazing. Installing right now, can't wait..
Black theme was already there from the beginning, you just had to change a regedit value.

Anyone know how to fix this mess:

Windows 10 Anniversary Update Available August 2-x1vjoki.png ? no app is working if I click on them. I love Windows updates. Good thing insider program is totally useless.

'Forever' took about 30 mins after the upgrade had downloaded. Painless. Everything seems to work as usual.

Okay, so it's Aug 2nd mid-afternoon, and I'm not seeing the update. Maybe I missed something in the first 100 pages of this thread on how to get this started. When should I be getting the Anniversary update (do I just wait until I'm at the top of the MS queue) or can I force this update now?

EDIT: Never mind - I see now. Click on the "Learn More" button on the Update page, and that take you to a "download the Anniversary update now" link.

I just checked for updates 3 times in a row and there it was.

Perhaps if you unpin and re-pin to start from all apps?

LOL. Me too but I dled using the MCT anyway and now ESDtoISo is breaking it's teeth on it complaining it can't find boot.wim in the ESD file and butts out.

Re-dling as we speak. I'll keep you guys posted.
If you are talking about the ESDtoISO tool in our tutorial, it will not work with ESD files in ISO images downloaded / created with MCT as has been repeatedly mentioned in the tutorial thread. The tool and method told in tutorial only work with ESD files downloaded through Windows Update.

If the ISO you downloaded with MCT, which contains install.esd instead of install.wim is not the ISO you want to, if you would rather have an ISO with WIM file instead of ESD (can't see why, an ISO is an ISO), you need to find another ESD to ISO decrypter.

WU doesn't say anything about Windows 10 1607, but if you have the Chrome extension - Chrome UA Spoofer, click Mac Safari 7, then you can download the iso instead of the tool on the same website.

You can make it so that your computer looks like it is viewing from a Mac, so then you can directly download the ISO.

Here is Official Link to anyone - expires in 24 hours (source: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...windows10ISO):

    64-Bit: http://software-download.microsoft.c...cf6763a9a8127b
Thanks, Super Computer Chicken! I only wanted the ISO.
