Peculiar Setup. Clean installed 14367, took about 20 minutes. The mouse is detected on the boot up screen and the first part of the install. After reboot after the five green ticks, no mouse. I had to recall keyboard navigation skills. When it finishes, mouse is back.

Other point, downloading defender updates, I got a retry screen. retried and it downloaded and installed.

    - I notice that 14367 installed with the latest AMD Beta (16.6.1) intact..
    - that's neat!

Ah, just the info I wanted to see--thanks! They must've fixed the Win10 SHA-2 certificates...! Good deal!

    Hi there

    Thanks for the info

Just to be obtuse though - I always look through the bugs and see If I can get them to appear on a machine -- so far I haven't actually managed to reproduce any apart from a very tiny few obvious ones like when file explorer wasn't working properly.

Mind you I'm sure if I ran a machine normally I would encounter loads. !!!!!!.

    Cheers

Right now all of the updates are focused on bug fixes and not much else so there really isn't that much to evaluate now.

Yes, I know, but it takes some time playing with the system to find and report bugs. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in reviewing the builds. And I think that each build gets better, at least recently!

Geeks, I finished a tutorial about how to add an existing Hyper-V Windows virtual machine's virtual hard disk in host system's boot menu in about one minute and then natively boot to this VHD. The tut is here: Hyper-V - Native Boot VHD - Windows 10 Forums

An accidental additional feature I noticed when writing the tut is that it allows those Windows 10 users who are using the official release, not opted in for Insider builds to test the latest Insider build without installing anything, keeping Windows 10 official release as their main OS.

The same if a user is in slow ring, the tut tells how to test the latest fast ring build staying in slow ring, keeping the slow ring build as main OS.

Short: The method told in tutorial gives users a possibility to test the fast ring builds in real hardware before deciding if they want to opt in, without installing Windows or any other software. The tutorial tells how, this tip quote from end of its Part Two:

    Tip   Tip
Interested in testing latest Insider Build?

If you are not a Windows Insider but would like to test the latest Windows Insider build to help you decide if opting in to Insider builds would be something for you, you can do it even if you have never had or used Hyper-V or would not even like to set it up.

You can download free 90 day trial Hyper-V Windows 10 virtual machines from Microsoft, both the latest official release (build 10586 when writing this) and latest Insider build (14366).

See this thread for download instructions: Windows 10 virtual machines now available on Microsoft Edge Dev - Windows 10 Forums

You don't have to setup any virtualization software, nor do you need install anything, instead when you have downloaded the vm, mount the VHD it contains as told above and you can dualboot to your chosen Windows 10 build for 90 days, for free
