What happened, Mr. Snake, is that those of us who installed 10056 got "offered" 10061, but it wouldn't install because it was for internal use only . . . IOW, it looked for Msft credentials and when it didn't find any, it just backed out.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)
Good story to stick to! BTW, did you ever finished the download/install?

My 10049 download took 6 hours and the installation took 2 hours - that's tooooo much.
Ha! Gotcha beat, WHS! I reinstalled 10041 and let it update thru the fast track. Fast, my eye!I just saw that it's finally at 100% and has been there for at least five minutes. I think by the time everything's all wrapped up, it will have taken at least 24 hours.

I just left things alone from 6:00 PM last night (it was at 8% downloaded) and it's 5:29 PM now. Surely it won't stall out now!?!

Oh, I was wondering why the Slow Ring never materialized. But, but, but, I thunk that were what da slow rang were for! Things go boom in the Fast Ring and then the Slow Ring gets it right. Guess not, eh?

Hmmmm, the bug in 10049 that makes it slow to install . . . I wonder if that's gonna affect the next drop in some unfortunate way.

That is certainly a sad story. I am truly sorry for what you have to go through. I hope MS will come up with a better deal for the next builds. I just installed some normal KBs (security and such) and that went pretty fast.

I had to do with a fouled-up setup.exe and one of the dlls that tried to install every lang pack on earth! I think they might try to fix that. Gabe Aul had tweeted it was NOT patchable, so new setup.exe, etc.
