Windows 10 build 10056 has leaked

I think the large tiles are a result of support for touch screens. Would be nice to have
the option of small tiles. They are much too big for normal size screens 17" and above.

Although I haven't been able to resize the menu in 10049, I can right click on the individual tiles, click on resize and then on "small". They're now down to a manageable size for my 23" monitor. I still hate that the menu takes up 1/3 of my monitor space, although I don't put anything on it.

Have you actually used Windows 8 or 10? There is an option called "small"

There's no problem with the tiles. It's the placeholder on the start menu. You can't resize the start menu narrower than 4 3 medium size tiles. I only need 1 column. :)

I would prefer the Windows 7 start menu.

You can adjust the height but not the width.. I hope that comes eventually.

Yup. I don't mind the height, it's the width that annoys me.
