I've lost the use of my DVD drive. It is unrecognized in File Explorer and doesn't work period. Had same happen a few builds back and had to wait for the next new build to fix. Have tried all the Device Manager tricks and the Registry tweaks and the Troubleshooter Wizards to no avail.
At the risk of repeating something you already tried....................
Right click at Start button > select Command Prompt (Admin) > at the flashing prompt, copy/paste this line..........
reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" /f /v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001
> Enter > type Exit.
Restart computer.

I inadventenly rebooted my Windows 10 host while the Windows 10 VM had not completed the upgrade to 14352. Thought the VM was trashed - but not at all. Windows 10 smoothly reverted to the earlier build. Ran scan and repair drive. Reboot. Flawless repair. Restarted the upgrade process - completed without any errors. Good work MS :)
Just got around to upgrading both of my test machines. Desktop came through like a champ, but my Dell Venue Pro 11 7130 lost its network adapter once again, and I had to reinstall the Intel Chipset driver stuff from Dell too. Also just saw that on both test machines, Intel RST is not working on either of them. The Venue Pro 11 issues were solved with driver (re)installs, but I've not yet tried to uninstall/reinstall Rapid Storage stuff yet on those machines. Anybody else see anything like this?
Otherwise, looks pretty good. Post install cleanup dropped about 20.2 GB on each test machine, too.
