I work for Wal Mart (a little company in the USA) and we still use Windows XP on all 456,000 PCs. At out last quarterly meeting the CIO was making a big thing about transitioning to Windows 7 in the next 12 months. He even demonstrated a Windows 7 computer on stage at the Bud Walton Auditorium.

We still use Internet Explorer 8.

I read all of this and try to understand how it will impact us ordinary slobs with WIN 10 Home and Pro. Will any of these "bells and whistle" features be introduced in the above versions of WIN 10? There are many of us outside of the Enterprise groups that require to be able access pages requiring IE11 ......
There is nothing stopping you from using IE in Home or Pro? Also, its called "Enterprise Mode". I didn't see anywhere where its restricted to just the Enterprise edition?

That is IE11 modern UI mode... Which is lacking in Windows 10, making it a disaster for tablets.

It still doesn't stop you from using IE though? And my post was in reference to having to use it to access web sites, versus using Edge. Even without Enterprise Mode you can still use IE in Home and Pro.

That is quite correct, there is nothing preventing the use of IE 11 in either of the additions. My question was to do with the proposed changes as to how it works, and if home and Pro will get these changes. ....

Good point. Unless I missed something, the way I read it, all versions of Windows 10 will get "Enterprise MODE" in IE. I think the "Enterprise" part just confused some people.

Also keep in mind that a lot of companies, big and small, don't run the Enterprise version on every PC they manage. Many buy their PC's in bulk with Pro preinstalled to save on license fees. They will only run Enterprise if they have too.
