You have quite a collection there :)
Is this one of those, where one must disassemble complete bottom to get into?
Yeah, i know how it looks like. I'm spending most of my time (home and works) in front of bigger screens and old PCs.
Checked that HP 17z on notebookchek site, and user really can't access HD or memory. What a shame, as it looks like nice laptop.
Edit: on the other side, I'm quite happy with my HP Probook. It wasn't much more expensive.
I have a probook and it is easy to take the bottom cover off... just open a lock switch and the bottom cover slides right off
Yea, just had a newish HP laptop here a couple of days ago and noticed no separate 'doors' for HDD and RAM. Guess it is just a matter of getting the courage to remove the whole bottom cover.
Ohhhhhh, it's more than just the whole bottom cover! First, about 15 screws from the bottom, then the DVD drive. Turn it over and gently lift up the top cover. Gently remove three cables and then finish removing the top.
Once all that's done, somehow get to the hard drive and RAM. I have read how to do that, but it's been awhile.
IIRC, you have to remove around 75 screws and keep them all ID'd and labelled so you can put things all back together the right way.
Thankfully, the instructions/schematics are well written. Because I already know I'm gonna do it, just not exactly when.
Wow, that is ridiculous. Might tackle it for myself but anyone else can take it back to the agent!!
