Microsoft no longer allows to block Store access in Windows 10 Pro

surely this is a big storm in a tea cup -- I'm not sure what gets taught in schools these days but couldn't any competent I.T admin simply enable a Proxy Server for acessing the Internet (IMO most businesses tend to have some type of Proxy server for blocking acesses to what they deem as "undesirable sites etc).

If the laptop is in lockdown mode the user wouldn't be able to change the settings.

Am I missing something here -- I'm an Engineer not an IT admin but this seems so bleedin obvious to me I can't see why it's a problem.

Maybe an IT admin could explain to me if I've missed something or not understood the original Post properly.

How do you dig down to that, i cannot find store anywhere ?

If the employee user accounts were standard users and not administrator users, what could they do from the Microsoft Store anyway?

To be honest, while this move certainly doesn't build good will, it makes a lot of sense. Companies, even smallish businesses should probably be going to the Volume Licensing route anyways. It does save money, but most smaller companies don't know enough about VL pricing or how to go about it.

However, there are any number of options one can use to still block access, such as blocking the store via firewall.

Getting companies to move to Enterprise licensing also means they can use the Windows Update For Business to manage their update process, as well as give control to allow users to download certain app store apps if they so want.

I think Microsoft has a lot of customers that are too afraid to change, or too slow to change, or just don't know enough to change, and they're trying to push them towards the way that makes the most sense overall.
