What happens if you have File Explorer open, then open the Start Menu?

I just see the same thing I posted earlier.. the start menu and the wallpaper. No file explorer.

It is much better. With the full screen start menu you see only the wallpaper. With the smaller start menu the background images (icons, open applications) are still there but dimmed sufficiently not to be quite so terrible as they were.

Looks far better - I suggest you take todays patches if you haven't yet - work for me, no need for a clean install :)

Post a screen shot so I can see what you're talking about.

    Sadly doesn't work here!
There are no more patches to be had, unless you got a couple in your pocket I could borrow! :)

K, but I'm on Build 10014 right now on this stupid Spartan which, incidentally, doesn't let you post images unless you 'Go Advanced' either!
    Back in a sec!
