I think overall it’s to address this:

If you use an iPhone, you’re more likely to use Safari than someone who doesn’t use an iPhone. Google Chrome users are more likely to use Gmail than people who don’t use Chrome. And Microsoft Office users are more likely to use Skype than people who don’t use Office.

But overall, Apple and Google are doing a better job of connecting their respective products, with usage of one more naturally leading to usage of another.

Something I don't really understand and it includes all Microsoft operating systems.

Take a tally of your computer dollar wise on how much you hardware or other programs like photo editing, Microsoft Office ect. cost.
The Windows operating system does more than all those things do. Your computer isn't a computer without a operating system. They really don't cost that much for what they do. Yet that is the first thing people try to steal.
For some reason that I do not understand people seem to think that 3 drunk goats in a couple of days can create a operating system so it should be free even if they have to steal it.

They are satisified with a second or third class install of a counterfeit Windows operating system rather than spend $100.00 for a proper install and activation.

    I just don't get it.

It's not Just the OS that gets pirated. Just about if not all paid software gets pirated.

Software is easier to steal than hardware. They pay for what they have to and steal the rest. If people could download a car on bit torrent they would. It's not just Windows, add office and cad came software etc to the list.

Look bro a copy of Legit win costs ,full install 200.00 bucks,
why in the world i have to spend 200.00 bucks if i have a Full Copy of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS for free, and for me that i mostly do Streaming and browsing the web, Linux does better then Win,besides i don't have to spend any extra software to protect Linux,so i get 200%free OPS.

And i almost forgot to say that i can use one copy of Linux on any Computer that i see fit ,not like Win that ties it up to one machine,so if you take that in consideration Win OPS cost not 200.00 but many hundreds more.
I bet you if Ms sells Win OPS ,20 bucks a piece , MS would make a tone of money and would cut piracy in half
