Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14332 for PC and Mobile Insider

I depend on tiles to pin most used program to start. Kinda handy to find them real fast. Now if only start menu would show up with mouse over the start button !!
Yeah, you still gotta click or right click for the "hidden" features. I like that part a whole lot.
I also won't do without my QuickLaunch Toolbar. I've set it up so many times it almost appears by itself for me.
File Explorer Options>Show hidden files and folders
Right click toolbar and select New Toolbar
This PC>Local Disk (C: )>Users>YourName>AppData>Roaming>Microsoft>Internet Explorer
Select QuickLaunch
It pops up in your Task Bar
Now, drag it all the way to the left (may take a few tries)
Right click and turn off the name/label
Add your browser to it (you do this to keep QL in sight)
Right click again and turn off text
Now start adding other apps and files.
When finished, right click the Tool Bar and lok it.

Too much work, I already set up the way I like it, kinda mashup of W7, 8 and 10. Also have shortcuts in folders on desktop in case I find myself there by accident. Need space on taskbar (on aouthide) for currently running programs which are quite a few at any time.

Hi,
Yeh, but you can easily get rid of the tiles; just unpin them and close up the space they were in. Nothing simpler. I've been doing that for quite a long time.
<Snip>
Actually, once you unpinned the tiles from start menu close it and re-open it. Windows will have adjusted the open space
automatically.
Cheers,

Yeah. I forgot about the Windows key. This probably will work with Start 10 - I'll take a look at the Start 10 Contorls. I like the quite access to the Administrative Tools menu. But I'm sure I've just got to play with the new Windows Start Menu more. I don't know how MS is going to sell this to the ordinary user - but I assume they don't think its a problem since they may change the Windos 7 or 8 nag pops to say - upgrade now for free or pa;y $119 later. It's taken me a bit of time to explore the openSUSE GUI - KDE, Gnome, LXDE, Xfce, Enlightenment and others. I checked the Forum and didn't find a Friday build being released yet - hope its on the way soon. Buildfeed shows they are up to 14340.

Thank you for this link. Any idea whether this will be updated for downloads on new build?

OK. Well I can play with this on VMs (I have on on VMware WS 12, Virtualbox 5.20 and on openSUSE - Gnome Boxes <that kinda sucks right now>). On my physical machine however I want to do some actual work - like running programs on a Windows Server 2016 machine. For that I use Start 10 (Stardock will undoubtedly update to deal with the new Windows 10 Start). I may try Classic Shell although I don't like it quite as much as Start 10. I think MS has gone the wrong way here because it is difficult to reclaim the Desktop space as you have shown. Perhaps they will do something about this in the next builds. Guess they must have focus groups of users.

They never released ISOs for the fast builds before, I wonder why the change? Not complaining, I wish they would always release the ISOs.

Welcome to TenForums, OilerNut.
You may be somewhat correct; however, we've had ISOs regularly released, especially prior to the release of Build 10240. I'm not completely sure, but I seem to remember that we've had ISOs released while the "slow build" was never released. Ya gotta remember this is Microsoft, and they don't do anything to our schedule. There have been builds where no ISOs were released, that's for sure!
As a WAG, my thinking is that since we're heading into the "Anniversary Release", this ISO release could possibly be so that all Insiders will have a chance at discovering new bugs. After all, there are quite a few who, for one reason or another, haven't even gotten Build 14332.
Or, the ISO could be to include even more potential Insiders.
